What’s my 20?

PhotoGrid_1429739313827

Instead of my usual outfit posts, today I’ll will be doing a post like taking stock but with a different twist.

I was inspired by glamour magazine where they pick a celebrity and have them say the 20 things they are doing, need to do or wish for.

Here goes my 20:

Coconut cookies at Paul’s Bakery. I can leave for those, so delish!

Manicure, my hands are so angry at me right now.

Pinterest, whoever discovered this app deserves a great award. It’s a small world of solutions.

Polaroid camera for capturing great memories on print and Polaroid pictures are very cute.

Delicious Mandazi’s that my boyfriend makes. He is great.

Skater skirts are so versatile and flattering on every single body type. They can be paired with everything from button-up shirts, sweaters to crop tops.

I went for a black skater skirt with thick pretty pleats,to spice up the look i couldn’t  think of anything better than this printed top and studded gladiators for some edge.Skater skirts can be too girly because of the round cut and length,it’s always wise to play around with different looks/pairings to make it standout more.

I enjoyed so much shooting in this location ,there is a beautiful river around my place with a lot of good background for photography.

African fashion is going global, international runways are now fusing western style with African fashion.

When you pick up an African piece, all you want is to keep the theme going ,adding wooden or beaded accessories, leather handmade skin sandals and even carry a woven bag.

I tried to keep my skirt as the center of attention from the colour to the print and also spiced up a little with the earth tone coloured jewelry.

Are you loving African prints too?I hope that i’ll be able to embrace this style fully and post more different looks.

AFRICAN:Bloggers challenge 2

Early this year i promised 2015 would be about getting out of my comfort zone,I was so happy that my fellow fashion bloggers and I agreed on a challenge that was fun and creative.I just noticed I don’t have a lot of African inspired outfits as i should, this is the home land of rich culture and traditions which makes us special. We should own at least something that reminds us of where we are from.

mercy

I wore a wrap around skirt which was once my mum’s and had it resized to fit me,I’ll post more on my look later, here is how the other bloggers did,
